This is when I had started taking the car apart to restore,I forgot to take any pics. before that but you can still get an idea what condition it was in. Below-Left
Originally had a white vinyl top. Decided to change to black,(which I did myself) since it needed replacing.

The car was built in the San Jose,CA plant and it's DSO is Phoenix AZ. From there it went to Texas and then the Twin Cities MN. After that it came to my home town. It was only in MN for about 2 or 3 years before I purchased it,so the rust was not extensive.

This was the worst of the rust on the entire car. I did not have to replace the entire floor pans, just the 4 foot wells. I think this was caused by snow and water from shoes which caused the carpet to hold moisture against the floor.
The seat risers were still in good shape as were all the frame rails, etc.
I spot welded the new floor pans in before putting on the rotisserie!

I built my own rotisserie. I have seen them listed for 7 to 8 hundred dollars or more. I have about 2 in these. Just more money that could be better spent on the restoration instead! Boy did it make life easier! And a much better restoration to boot !

If you would like to build your own Rotisserie, go to my
"Build Your Own Mustang Rotisserie" page.
Here's a TIP: Need to replace your headliner?...do this just before taking off the rotisserie. With the car upside down the job becomes "MUCH" easier!! I did this with mine.

I did the entire bottom side and the engine compartment.

I used POR-15 on the area,good stuff,no more rust!
Almost ready for paint. Below-Right

I sprayed the car and did the body work myself!
Finally on the road. Below-Left

Just some minor trim to add yet and still don't have carpet.
